The project aims to improve climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention in the Trebinje–Konavle–Herceg Novi cross-border area by reducing technical water losses in the supply network.

This is achieved by introducing remote monitoring of water consumption and setting up a centre that tracks all system parameters and detects leaks. Under the project, the City of Trebinje has procured modern equipment for measuring flow and pressure and for remote reading of consumption at end users.

Activities and results

  • Remote monitoring of water consumption
  • Centre for monitoring system parameters and detecting losses
  • Flow and pressure measuring devices
  • Faster leak detection and repair
  • Less non-revenue water and a more efficient system
