The conference “Trebinje 2026: Building the Region” opened at the Trebinje Cultural Centre, bringing together representatives of institutions and businesses, investors, experts and participants from infrastructure, energy and urban development.
It was opened by the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, who stressed the importance of linking the public and private sectors in shaping development policy and delivering capital projects. He noted that Republika Srpska is entering a major investment cycle worth 6.6 billion, and that projects in Trebinje — including the new district presented at the conference — should fit into a wider regional development framework.
Mayor Mirko Ćurić said the conference marks the start of a new phase of planning and development, after a decade in which one of the largest investment cycles in Trebinje’s history was delivered, with the aim of building well, according to plan and responsibly, while preserving the city’s identity and aesthetic values.
